Accordingtooursurvey,80%oftelcosareaimingtotransformintotelecomtechcoswithinthenextthreetofiveyears,drivenbytheneedtoovercomestagnantrevenues,improveefficiencyandregainrelevanceincapitalmarkets.Atthecoreofthisshiftareautonomouscloudnetworkplatforms,whichisatermtodescribefuturenetworks,poweredbycloud-nativetechnologies,automationandAI.Thiswillenabletelcostounlock‘techco-style’revenuestreams,suchasAI-drivenservices,networkapplicationprogramminginterfaces(APIs)andnetworkslicing.However,progressisslow.Only28%oftelcosexpecttoachievehighautonomousnetworkmaturitywithinthenextthreeyears,withmanystillreliantonnon-cloud-nativearchitecturesthatlimitagilityandinnovation.
