However, it has been overlooked for a long time. Many people start to learn English from primary or middle school, but they still can’t speak English well.With the arrival of information age, the ability of communication is becoming more and more important. English has been used as an international language in all phases of the society, nearly all walks of life, which has being made greater contribution to the development of the whole world. But as an important stage of cultivating the ability of oral English, middle school has its poor quality in the improvement of expressing oral English. People often see the fact that some teachers always complain that many of their students do well in homework and examinations with high scores but they have the poor ability to speak English. Under this circumstance, people should know how to deal with the disadvantages and how to improve the quality of oral English teaching in middle school.On account of the traditional English teaching in China, teachers are the lord in classroom. Teachers’ explanation takes the most time in class. So teachers can’t offer the sufficient opportunities for students to practise. Students become the negative acceptors in the teaching process. Because of lacking practice, their ability of using the language is not good. Thus, they face kinds of difficulties in actual intercourse.Middle School English Teaching Syllabus?(revise originally) published by the Ministry of Education recently requires the students should have the ability of communicating information in English but not the traditional ability of getting the information in English.
