要 技术进步是推动中西部地区经济发展的重要动力，是影响中西部地区经济发 展的重要因素之一。特别是中西部地区在“十一五”发展纲要中提出，“十一五” 期间，中西部地区的工作重点之一为加快中西部地区的企业创新步伐，大力提高 企业的自主创新能力，使经济社会发展真正转到依靠科技进步与提高劳动者素质 的轨道上来，技术进步 中西部地区经济发展的影响日益增强。 技术进步是推动经济增长的重要源泉，近年来，随着全球经济的一体化，通 过外商直接投资带来的东道国的技术进步越来越成为一国或区域技术和经济发展 的重要途径。本文通过研究外商直接投资 我国中西部地区技术进步的贡献，找 出外商直接投资与中西部地区技术进步之间存在的关系，并 中西部地区如何扩 大利用外商直接投资，缩小地区差异提出对策和建议。 关键词：外商直接投资 技术进步 中西部地区 1 Abstract In China, technological progress has paid important attention to the economic growth of Middle-West region, and become one of the key factors of affecting the Middle-West region economic growth. Middle-West region develops outline suggest that one of the Middle-West region focal point of the work will quicken the innovative pace, improve the enterprise capability of independent innovation energetically, make economic and social development really, depending on advance of science and technology, and improve the quality of laborers coming up. Technological progress strengthens gradually to central and western regions economic growth effect. In recent years, technological progress is importance resource of the economic growth, with the fact that the whole world economy integration, passing the host country with foreign direct investment ，the technological progress brings one country or area along the important approach of technology and economy develop. This article studies the foreign direct investment which can take technological progress to Middle-West region. Meantime, the article tries to find out the existence relation between the foreign direct investment and Middle-West region technological progress. The article shows how to expand direct foreign investment of the Middle-West region,
