摘要 这篇有关费森尤斯医疗的翻译属于科技文体的范畴，而被动语态的普遍使用是科 技文体的一大特点。因为英语被动语态有维持信息的简洁性、维持话题的连贯性、强 调叙述的客观性等功能，能客观准确地传递科技信息。由于英汉两种语言的差异，在 翻译被动语态时应灵活应用各种翻译技巧，使之符合汉语的表达习惯。本翻译述评主 要分为四大部分：第一部分是对文本的具体分析；第二部分介绍了翻译任务的操作流 程；第三部分结合本次医疗翻译的实践，分析了科技英语多用被动语态的原因，根据 目的论对科技英语被动语态翻译的指导，归纳了科技英语被动语态翻译的技巧，这 一部分也是全文最主要和核心的部分；第四部分是结语。在分析科技英语被动语 态的翻译技巧时，本文结合自身翻译实践提供了大量的例子，以期使本文对读者 具有真正的实用价值，对科技英语特别是医疗英语翻译者具有借鉴意义。 关键词：科技英语 被动语态 翻译技巧 目的论 ii ABSTRACT The source text about Fresenius Medical Care can be classified as English for Science and Technology(EST). And one of the major characteristics of English for Science and Technology(EST) is the wide use of passive voice, as it can serve to make the text concise, coherent and objective and convey the information in an impartial and accurate way. While translating such sentences with passive voice, we need to apply a wide range of techniques with considerations of the differences between the Chinese and English languages so that highly readable translation can be produced. Based on the translation project for Fresenius Medical Care, this paper is divided into four parts. The first part is devoted to analyzing the characteristics of the source text; the second part introduces the translation procedure I followed while doing this project; the third part, which is also the most important part, focuses on the translation skills to deal with passive voice in English for Science and Technology(EST) under the light of Skopos theory; and finally the conclsion part. While elaborating on the translation skills to deal with passive voice in English for Science and Technology(EST), adequate examples are provided
