(HSBC)s Hugh Evans discussed the major role that could be played by stock borrow and lending in the recovery of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) markets. Last year was when the Gulf region realised that the global debt crisis was not just about Western financial problems, such as Lehmans, Madoff and Bear Stearns.
