Objective To study the influence of diffe ent shape of lowe jaw on st ess dist ibution at bone inte face in the mandibula mola egion of implant esto ation models. Methods Six models with diffe ent lowe jaw shapes we e const ucted by using th eedimensional finite element method. Implantbone inte face st esses in these models we e studied unde ve tical and late al loads. Results No matte in the condition of ve tical loading of late al loading, st ess dist ibution patte ns we e simila in va iant models and diffe ences of st ess values we e not statistically significant . The maximal diffe ences in VonMises st ess, comp essive st ess and tensile st ess among the six models we e 6. 4% , 2. 8% and 6. 2% espectively. Conclusion It is ational to simplify the lowe jaw shape in finite element analysis. Key words!
