Methods A total of 110 carotid athero clero i patient complicated with hyperlipidem ia from M ay 2008 to May 2011 were elected and randomly divided into ro uva tatin 5mg group ( group A) , 10 mg group ( group B) , and 20 mg group ( group C) . T he medicine wa adm ini tered after dinner. T he change of T C, T G, HDL- C, LDL- C, carotid plaque area, neck intima- media thickne ( IMT) in the three group w ere compared and the incidence of adver e event w ere recorded. Re- sults The carotid plaque area and carotid intima - media thickne w ere ig nificantly reduced ( P 0. 01) , T C, T G, LDL- C w ere ignif icantly lowered ( P 0. 01) and H DL- C w ere ig nificant- ly increa ed ( P 0. 01) in all three group .
