On Developing Students Thinking   摘 要:With the development of English teaching, English teaching methods have been paid more and more attention to. Language learning is a complicated process, creative thinking is very important for students to learn language. Nowadays, learning a foreign language is more important for us. So we have a lot of methods in teaching English. In order to meet students needs, the teacher should innovate continuously in teaching English.   II.The significance of developing students thinking in English teaching   As we know, language is a system of arbitrary vocal symbols used for human communication. So language learning is a complicated process. Language is a tool for human communication. If the students cant communicate with each other in English, their English must be poor and their thinking is disordered. Thinking is the key of communication. The students cant express their thoughts and feelings very well unless they have good thinking.   III.The factors of affecting students thinking   A.The context of situation   Language is the means by which people communicate with each other. Where there is no situation, there is no communication, and language cant be used. Language should be understood and expressed in a certain situation.   B.Atmosphere   Environment is very important for learning language. For Chinese senior students, after several years of English study, they cant speak English fluently. Because they have no good atmosphere to speak English, they communicate with each other in daily life using Chinese.   C.Teacher-centered teaching   Students are
