The clinical research of Modified Zhigancao Soup on the treatment of sinus bradycardia Speciality: Internal Medicine of Traditional Chinese Medicine Author : Luo Chuanchao Tutor: Pro.Zhang Shiliang Abstract Objective: To observe the clinical curative effect of treating syndrome of Qi-asthenia and blood-Stasis of sinus bradycardia through applying the Modified Zhigancao Soup and To explore its mechanism.Methods: 60 patients were randomly divided into the experimental group (30 cases) and the control group (30 cases). Xinbao pill were given to the control group. The experimental group was dosed Modified Zhigancao Soup. The course of clinical treatment is four weeks.Result: Compared with the control group, experimental group after treatment had remarkable effect upon improving electrocardiogram, 24 hours dynamic electrocardiogram (DCG)and heart rates. There were significant differences (P0.05).The effect on clinical symptom of The experimental group ,including palpitation,chest distress and lassitude, was greatly improved(P0.05). The experimental group had remarkable effect upon clinical general therapeutic effect （P0.05 ）.Conclusion: Modified Zhigancao Soup has good curative effect on treating syndrome of Qi-asthenia and blood-Stasis of sinus bradycardia, can increase heart rates ,can appease palpitation, chest distress and lassitude.Its mechanism may be that Modified Zhigancao Soup can improve cardiac functions and increase A-V nodal rhythm .
