Do you know of any world records? 你知道一些世界记录(的情况)吗？ know of “知道，听说”，know 表示“知道”。例如： ① I don’t know where Qingdao is, but I know of the name of the city. 相关链接： know about 了解 know from 区分 ② I don’t know about him at all. 我一点也不了解他。 ③ He doesn’t know a tiger from a lion. 他分不清老虎和狮子。 2. Our class could play soccer for a week without stopping! 我们班可以连续不停地踢一周足球。 （1）without ①“没有，毫不”，反义词为with ，后边跟名词或动名词。 例如： This morning ,I went to school without breakfast. 今天早上我没有吃早饭就去上学了。 His father went out without saying a word. 他父亲没说一句话就出去了。 ②可以表示条件，译为“要没有……就……”，例如： We can’t live without air. 没有空气我们就无法生活。 （2）stop v. “停止” ; n. “停顿，站”。 stop to do 停下来去做某事； stop doing 停止正在做的事 ，例如： I’m tired, let’s stop to have a rest. 我累了，咱们停下休息一下吧。 It’s time for class, stop talking. 上课时间到了，别说话了。 Could you tell me the way to the nearest bus stop ? 你能告诉我到最近的汽车站的路吗？ 3. Some of us would play, while some sleep and eat. 我们中间有人踢球时，有人可以睡觉，吃饭。 While 是个连词，引导时间状语从句，“当……时候；在……同时”， 其从句中多用延续性动词。例如： I was doing my homework while my mother was cooking. 妈妈做饭的时候，我正在写作业。 拓展 when (= at the time that ) 可表示瞬间或时间段， 主从句所述动作或事情可同时发生，也可有先后。例如： He was doing his homework when I came in. 我进来的时候他正在写作业。 while (= during the time that ) 表示两个延续性动作相伴随发生。 Please write
