Every corporation has their formats for meeting agendas and minutes. However, meeting agendas and minutes generally share some common information. 3.In fact, meetings and minutes are of various forms. Consequently, corresponding to the different types of meetings, there are various meeting agendas and minutes. In this chapter, we merely focus on the basic meeting agendas and minutes. III Teaching Procedure Step1 Warm up Step2 Presentation Step3 Practice Step4 Mini-Projects Step1 Warm up An effective agenda is an imperative for a productive meeting. It structures both the content of the meeting papers and the progress of the meeting itself. An agenda cannot only be used as a checklist to guarantee that all topics are covered, but also let participants prepare for the meeting in advance so that they can prepare for the upcoming discussion and bring up important points. In addition, it ensures that the meeting would not be digressed from the subject under discussion. Step2 Presentation Meeting minutes are the written or recorded documentation that is used to inform attendants and non-attendants of the happenings during the meeting. It is important for reviewing the essence of the meeting after the meeting. Case 1 is a sample of a meeting agenda. Read the sample and answer the following questions.
