Methods in isolated rabbit intestine, the effects of different concentrations of resveratrol on the induced anticonvulsant effects caused by intestinal smooth muscle contraction. Results Baili resveratrol on the barium chloride, calcium chloride, acetylcholine induced contraction of isolated rabbit intestine was inhibited dose-effect relationship between certain, showing the role of non-competitive antagonism. Conclusion resveratrol may be caused by inhibition of intestinal bile RyR-mediated or direct effect on the intestinal smooth muscle, with calcium antagonism. [Keywords:] rabbit isolated intestinal smooth muscle; barium chloride; calcium chloride; acetylcholine; resveratrol Abstract: Objective To study the effect of resveratrol on the contractility in rabbit ileum smooth muscle in vitro.Methods The samples of isolated rabbit ileum segment were prepared, and the effects of resveratrol at various concentration on the spontaneous contraction of isolated rabbit intestine induced by BaCl2 , CaCl2 and acetylcholine (ACh) were studied.Results The spontaneous contraction of smooth muscle of rabbit ileum in vitro induced by BaCl2, CaCl2 and ACh was inhibited by reseveratrol in a dose dependently manner of uncompetitive antagonism. Conclusion Inhibitory effects of reseveratrol on smooth muscle of rabbit ileum in vitro might be mediated by acetylcholinergic receptor, or act directly with calcium antagonism.
