Methods From October 2006 to October 2009 during the emergency treatment of extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy of 290 cases renal colic in patients with acute exacerbation of the clinical data were retrospectively analyzed. Results after ESWL treatment of renal colic were relieved or completely alleviate symptoms of 237 cases, including 84 cases of complete pain relief, pain relief was 153 cases, pain relief rate 81.7%; stone success rate of 91.4%; no severe postoperative complications ESWL. Conclusion acute attack of renal colic for extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy is safe and effective pain relief rate.
