Methods sulfuric acid - phenol method, producing 10 kinds of Guizhou epimedium medicinal herbs in different parts of the polysaccharide were determined. The results of 10 kinds of medicinal herbs from Guizhou epimedium because of type, place of origin, different medicinal parts of its polysaccharide content are different, roots and leaves little difference in polysaccharide content in roots and leaves were higher than in the polysaccharide content in petioles and stems. Conclusion In order to ensure sustainable use of resources in Guizhou epimedium, Epimedium herbs used as medicine to the ground part (to the coarse stems) are more reasonable. MethodsDifferent medicinal parts of 10 species in Guizhou were determined by phenol-sulfuric acid method. ResultsThe content of polysaccharide was influenced by different species, different origins and different medicinal parts, and the polysaccharide content of leaf was higher than that of stem and petiole was similar to the content of root. ConclusionIt is right to collect the leaf and stem parts of the herbs which provide a reliable basis for conservation and reasonable development of Epimedium herbs resources in Guizhou.
