 PAGE \* MERGEFORMAT 9 Infant late vitamin K deficiency analysis of 82 cases [Abstract] Objective: To analyze the infant late vitamin K deficiency causes, and to recommend measures for its prevention and treatment to reduce morbidity and improve the cure rate. Methods: from 2006 to 2008 in our hospital diagnosed as late onset vitamin K deficiency in hospitalized patients were analyzed. Results: 82 cases of children, 79 cases of exclusive breastfeeding, the sick babies and mothers were not before used vitamin K preparations, skin and mucous membranes, intestinal bleeding and puncture site in 40 patients, 48 cases of intracranial hemorrhage, intracranial hypertension, 30 patients had neurological symptoms and signs in 48 cases, 78 cases of hemorrhagic anemia, vitamin K1 are used such as drug treatment and symptomatic treatment, including 31 cases of surgical treatment of intracranial hemorrhage . In addition to 4 cases of severe discharged, the remaining 78 cases were cured. Conclusion: Infants with late vitamin K deficiency of vitamin K1 therapy with good results recently, can be associated with surgical treatment of intracranial hemorrhage, prevention of maternal and infant use of vitamin K can reduce or even avoid the occurrence of this disease. Methods: An analysis for cases diagnosed for infantile late vitamin K deficiency in our hospital from 2006 to 2008 was made.Results: Among 82 cases in this study, 79 were exclusively breast feeding and both the infants and their mothers had not taken Vitamin K before.
