Now that the MDS is hematopoietic stem cell proliferation and differentiation of hematopoietic disorders caused by abnormal. mainly as peripheral blood pancytopenia, bone marrow cell proliferation, mature and immature cells that form abnormal dysplasia. in the occurrence of the disease, the development process, the abnormal immune system can not effectively clear the MDS clone, but lead to normal increased apoptosis of hematopoietic cells, peripheral blood cells decreased, the disease progress to leukemia [1]. some patients due to infection, bleeding or other causes, the course does not always translate into acute leukemia. In order to meet the changing pattern of modern nursing, our hospital in 1997 carried out a patient-centered, to nursing procedures within the framework of the systematic holistic nursing care. We have 36 cases of MDS patients with targeted health education to patients with a better understanding of the relevant disease process, treatment options, restore health important measures, satisfactory results are summarized below. Clinical data January 1997 to August 2007 were treated in our department 36 patients with MDS, 27 males and 9 females, aged 16 to 70 years, mean age 45 years. In the course of infection in 2 cases, 1 case of bleeding and death . of which 5 patients developed leukemia.
