Obesityalsohasastrongin?ammatorycomponentthatcanbedrivenbydiet-inducedincreasesinarachidonicacid.Thepurpose ofthispaperistodiscussthemoleculartargetsthatcanbeaddressedbyanti-in?ammatorynutrition.Thesemoleculartargets rangefromreductionofproin?ammatoryeicosanoidstothemodulationoffeaturesoftheinnateimmunesystem,suchastoll- likereceptorsandgenetranscriptionfactors.Fromknowledgeoftheimpactofthesedietarynutrientsonthesevariousmolecular targets,itbecomespossibletodevelopageneraloutlineofananti-in?ammatorydietthatcano?erauniquesynergismwithmore traditionalpharmacologicalapproachesintreatingobesityanditsassociatedcomorbidities. 1.Introduction population [4].
