Weinvestigated anaxisymmetric unsteady two-dimensional ?owofnonconducting, incompress- ible second grade ?uid between two circular plates. The similarity transformation is applied to reducegoverning partialdi?erentialequationPDEtoanonlinear ordinarydi?erentialequation ODE in dimensionless form. The resulting nonlinear boundary value problem is solved using homotopy analysis method and numerical method. The e?ects of appropriate dimensionless parameters on the velocity pro?les are studied. The total resistance to the upper plate has been calculated. 1.Introduction Squeezing ?ows areinduced byexternally normal stressesor verticalvelocities by means ofmovingboundary.Squeezing?owshavemanyapplicationsinfoodindustry,especially in chemical engineering.
