ThegeneticdistributionoftheseSNPsinthepromotersitewasestablishedbyPCR.IL-18proteinproductionwasdeterminedby ELISA.OurresultsshowedthatPBMCfromdonorscarryingallele137ChavelowerlevelsofbothspontaneousandLPS-stimulated IL-18production.Incontrast,PBMCfromdonorscarryingallele607Ashowedsigni?cantincreasesinspontaneousandstimulated IL-18productioncomparedtowildtype.OurstudysuggeststhattheSNPs?607and?137inthepromoterregionoftheIL-18 genein?uencethelevelofIL-18proteinproductionbyPBMCfromhealthydonorsinSouthwesternSiberia.
