Objective.Thepresentpaperaimedatinvestigatingtheassociationbetweenperceivedstressandmajorlifeeventsstressorsin Iraniangeneralpopulation.Methods.Inacross-sectionallarge-scalecommunity-basedstudy,4583peopleaged19andolder, livinginIsfahan,Iran,wereinvestigated.Logisticquantileregressionwasusedformodelingperceivedstress,measuredbyGHQ questionnaire,astheboundedoutcome(dependent),variable,andasafunctionofmostimportantstressfullifeevents,asthe predictorvariables,controllingformajorlifestyleandsociodemographicfactors.Thismodelprovidesempiricalevidenceofthe predictors’ e?ects heterogeneity depending on individual location on the distribution of perceived stress. Results. The results showedthatamongfourstressfullifeevents,familycon?ictsandsocialproblemsweremorecorrelatedwithlevelofperceivedstress. Higherlevelsofeducationwerenegativelyassociatedwithperceivedstressanditscoe?cientsmonotonicallydecreasebeyond the30thpercentile.Also,higherlevelsofphysicalactivitywereassociatedwithperceptionoflowle
