Awirelesssensornetworkiscomposedoflargenumberofsensornodesandtheyaredenselydeployedinthe?eldtomonitorthe environment,collectthedataandrouteittoasink.Themainconstraintisthatthenodesinsuchanetworkhaveabatteryof limitedstoredenergythenetworklifetimegetsreduced.TherearevarioustopologymanagementschemessuchasSPAN,STEM, GAF,BEESandsoforth,forimprovingnetworkparameterssuchascapacity,lifetime,coverageandlatency.Theseschemesdo notimproveallthementionednetworkparameters.SustainablePhysicalActivityinNeighbourhood(SPAN)scheme,preserves networkcapacity,decreaseslatencybutprovideslessenergysavings.SparseTopologyandEnergyManagement(STEM)scheme doesnotpreservecapacityresultingingreatenergysavingsandhighlatency.Intheproposedscheme,newcoordinatorruleis implementedinSPAN,andthenintegratedwithSTEM.Itisobservedthattheenergyconservedincreasesbyabout3.18%to 4.17%withoutsacri?cingnetworkcapacity.Duetode?nitepathintheproposedschemethelatencyisreducedbyalmosthalfthe latencyofSTEMscheme. 1.Introduction ithaslesssystemlifetimecomparedtosparsetopologyand energymanagement(STEM).STEM[7],isanothertopology schemeinwhicheachandeverynodewillhavetworadios,a dataplaneradio,andawake-upplaneradio.Usually,thedata pla
