Methods:Thiswasaprospectivenaturalistictwelvemonthobservationalstudyofacohortofpatientsinaforensic hospitalplacedaccordingtotheirneedfortherapeuticsecurityalongapathwayofmovesfromhighto progressivelylesssecureunitsinpreparationfordischarge.PatientswereassessedusingtheDUNDRUM-1triage securityscale,theDUNDRUM-3programmecompletionscaleandtheDUNDRUM-4recoveryscaleandassessments ofriskofviolence,selfharmandsuicide,symptomseverityandglobalfunction.Patientsweresubsequently observedforpositivemovestolesssecureunitsandnegativemovestomoresecureunits. Results:Therewere86malepatientsatbaselinewithmeanfollow-up0.9years,11positiveand9negativemoves. Forpositivemoves,logisticregressionindicatedthatalongwithlocationatbaseline,theDUNDRUM-1,HCR-20 dynamicandPANSSgeneralsymptomscoreswereassociatedwithsubsequentpositivemoves.Thereceiver operatingcharacteristicwassignificantfortheDUNDRUM-1whileANOVAco-varyingforbothlocationatbaseline andHCR-20dynamicscorewassignificantforDUNDRUM-1.Fornegativemoves,logisticregressionshowed DUNDRUM-1andHCR-20dynamicscoreswereassociatedwithsubsequentnegativemoves,alongwith DUNDRUM-3andPANSSnegativesymptomsinsomemodels.Thereceiveroperatingcharacteristicwassignificant fortheDUNDRUM-4recoveryandHCR-20dynamicscoreswithDUNDRUM-1,DUNDRUM-3,PANSSgeneraland GAFmarginal.ANOVAco-varyingforbothlocationatbaselineandHCR-20dyn
