Foreign Language Teaching Communicative Language Ability
For a long time, China’s foreign language teaching Communicative language ability did not give sufficient attention, causing many students to master a lot of grammar and vocabulary, but not in the actual use of social interaction. This phenomenon with long-standing tradition of teaching methods, analysis of a translation method that is not unrelated. The latter language knowledge, especially the teaching of grammar knowledge as the main content of the teaching process as the process of imparting this knowledge, ignoring the practical application of language and train students to use language ability.
Compared with the traditional foreign language teaching, modern foreign language teaching pay more attention to the communicative function of language and advocated the main task of foreign language teaching is to train students to use language communicative ability. With the development of a modern foreign language teaching, there are some principles to communication-based teaching methods, such as: functional-notional approach (functional-notional approach), a silent France (silent way), consulting law (counseling-learning), Dark Water France (suggestopedia), Associations to discuss France (community-learning),
Observation (the monitor model), and listening and reading comprehend Act (the comprehension model) and so on. The common feature of these methods are: ① emphasis on how to use language, instead of learning the structure of a language; ② emphasis on student-centered, in order to convey the social significance of language-based, so that students in a lively teaching activities to acquire knowledge in to improve skills; ③ emphasize social factors of language and cultural factors, the communicative function of language first place.
