Nurture self-study foreign language studies curriculum paradigm [Abstract] In the perspective of philosophy of language, the attempt to develop self-study foreign language teaching paradigm, including its basic theory, methodology, discourse, teaching methods and application examples of such practices were discussed. [Keywords:] self-study; paradigm; Exploratory Foreign Language Teaching Learner autonomy is the ability to charge their own learning (Holec, 1981: 3). Self-learning is a learner and their learning process and learning the contents of a psychological relationship, is a critical reflective learners detached, self-decision-making and the ability to act independently (Little, 1991:4). With the autonomy of the learner, able to learn from the behavior of the various aspects of self-choices and self-control, in terms of skills to be self-determined learning objectives, self-development of study plans, self-monitoring the learning process, and self-evaluation of learning outcomes ( Holec, 1981; Dickinson, 1993; Littlewood, 1999; Wenden 2002); in the psychological learning process is able to overcome shyness and worries, showing a positive learning state, to learn confidence and psychological freedom (Little1991; Spratt et al 2002) to show personality and personal motivation to learn (Spratt et al 2002, Dickinson 1993). In order to cultivate this ability, language education experts and practitioners who (Esch 1996; Nunan 1997; Little 1991,2002,2004,2005) proposed self-learning center, a dynamic course format, reflective diary, teacher encouragement and promotion, the real language materials, and the real classroom teaching communication and other environmental factors and strategies, from education to build a sense of language teaching paradigm. The 20th century Western philosophy, there’s “linguistic turn” caused by the language of psychology, philosophy beyond the scope of the training for self-study provides a new perspective to explore.
