Abstract: Schema theory suggests that reading comprehension is the process of new information with existing knowledge of the brain in the process of interaction. Analysis of schema theory and the relationship between reading comprehension and students in English reading in the confusion, I think: English reading instruction should be based on schema based on the theory, taken to help students develop a rich language schema, content schemata and rhetorical schemata methods to improve students’ reading comprehension.
