On teaching high school English Vocabulary Review
A total of high school seniors who studied more than 2,000 English words and a number of phrases and idioms. Vocabulary Review is for students to have learned the vocabulary systematically collate and analyze the use of a firm grasp. To have learned the vocabulary according to pronunciation, word formation, idioms, grammatical features, as well as synonyms, antonyms, synonyms, together together, collate and analyze from different angles to establish a link between “knowledge field.” My specific approach is:
1, according to the basic word-formation induction
1. Plus the prefix dis-, in-, ir-, mis-, un-, im-, said the negative sense. Such as:
un-unable, unimportant, un fortunate, undr ess, unfit, unhappy, unknown, unfair, uninformed, etc.; in-inability, incorrect, injustice, incomplete, invi sible and so on.
2. Plus the suffix-ese,-or,-er,-ian,-ist,-eer so that people and objects. Such as:
thinker, writer, speaker, actor, inventor, s ailor, Chinese, Japanese, Portuguese and so on. Plus the suffix-ful,-less,-able,-ive,-ion,-ish,-ous,-ic,-al,-y,-ant,-ary, etc. constitute the adjective. Such as:
careful, useful, helpful, beauiful, grateful, faithful, cheerful, funny, snow y, rai ny, windy, cloudy, dirty, starry and so on.
3. Grouped according to spelling
Such as: play, pay, lay, delay, gray, hay, gay, away, way, say so.
4. Some of the sound, form, meaning the easily confused words are classified such as:
whether-weather, leek-leak, plain-plane, flower-flour, adapt-adopt, mantel-mantle, temper-temp le, contest-context, pleasant-present, float-flow and so on.
2, according to verbs and idioms are classified with
The verb with adverbs, nouns and prepositions such as summed up with, in particular, an annual college entrance examination, some high frequency words, priority should be summarized.
