China ） Abstract ：the centraI and western regions are major producing areas of agricuIturaI products in China ，and aIso areas which poIicy- based agricuIturaI insurance wiII be estabIished to focus on and support. A concrete anaIysis needs to be made of the concrete conditions in various provinces to determine the dissemination vaIue in major grain-producing areas in the cen- traI and western regions of successfuI modeIs in the new round of piIot agricuIturaI insurance projects. Henan is a typicaI agricuIturaI economy，and anaIyzing the case of Henan wiII afford usefuI Iessons to various provinces in the centraI and western regions. the concIusion is that the modeI of agricuIturaI insurance cooperative is the one most suited for agricuI- turaI deveIopment in Henan.
