[Abstract] Middle School Chinese Language Teaching to carry out inquiry-based learning is the world’s development trend of education reform, but also basic education curriculum reform in one of the highlights. Paper is based on the basic theory of inquiry learning, combined with the characteristics of secondary school language courses and a new round of basic education curriculum reform on the language teaching with the clear demands of classroom teaching with language teaching in secondary schools to implement inquiry learning the five basic methods .

‘Basic Education Reform Program’ clearly stated: the new curriculum, training objectives should reflect the requirements of the times and strive to enable students to become ‘innovative spirit, practical ability, scientific and humanistic qualities’ a complete and harmonious people. In the current reform of language teaching in secondary schools, how to make students learn to explore the nature of learning is one of the important elements. Compared with traditional teaching mode, exploratory learning is undoubtedly an innovation. Traditional language teaching is based on academic knowledge of the logical system for heavy textbook knowledge to teach at the expense of students learning and thinking abilities, the lack of student life and social practice links.
Practice has proved that secondary school language teaching, research-based learning, can expand the students knowledge, improve the ability of students to explore, as well as identify problems and problem-solving skills, to develop students innovative spirit and practical ability, the formation of autonomy, cooperation and explore ways of learning comprehensively improve their language literacy, life-long benefit.
