As a key technique of mult imedia system, multimedia synchronization is of everincreasing importance. The ubiquitous distributed netw orks put new demands on distributed multimedia synchronization especially , so a synchronization scheme requiring no global clock w as proposed aiming at the complex structure of distributed mult imedia system and the increasing types of cont inuous media appeared in the distributed networks. The Scheme just demands a simple feedback message which is sent to the source from the dest ination, and it eliminates synchronizat ion disruption caused by netw ork delay jitter by using the feedback messages and the ingenious buffer setting; achieves intramedia synchronization by using int rinsic relationship betw een different continuous media, then ob
