In todays mainland China television screens, the basic situation is: drama development is relatively mature; the proliferation of variety entertainment; news programs, political ideology, taste too heavy, thoughtful, well-known brand part; the development of the documentary is the most lag and mature, struggling in the industry and the legal system edge. There are many reasons. I for loving documentary, combined with several documentary television today to make thinking and analysis on the development status of Chinese documentaries. We should uphold a conviction, that is, with social progress and development, raising the level of national culture, the prospects for the development of China-made documentary film industry must be getting better and better. In this paper, the development of China-made documentary and current situation analysis, discusses the existing problems on the domestic documentary production, and gives sound advice countermeasures.
