than those of control group and Xuefu Zhuyu decoction group(p0.01);Compared with control group,the serum TC and LDL of the Xuefu Zhuyu decoction group increased significantly(p0.01),while there were no significant changes of serum TG between control group and Xuefu Zhuyu decoction group (p=0.08) Compared with control group and Xuefu Zhuyu decoction group ,the serum ADMA of the model group increased together with the serum NO decreased significantly (p0.01). There were no significant difference of the serum ADMA and NO between the control group and Xuefu Zhuyu decoction group (p=0.24 0.16) The serum NO negatively correlated to the serum ADMA r= 0.773 , p0.01) Conclusion: An increase in serum concentration of ADMA in atherosclerosis rabbits fed high fat/high cholesterol diet. Xuefu Zhuyu decoction can decrease the serum concentration of ADMA in atheroclerosis rabbits.The effect of Xuefu Zhuyu decoction on anti-atherosclerosis may be related to the decreased concentration of serum ADMA.
