Therefore, pesticide residues has become a hot topic attracting great concern of the society in the field of food safety in China. This paper analyzed the 3 major hazards of pesticide residues in agricultural products. Based on the comparison between pesticide residue standards of domestic and foreign countries for agricultural products, this paper combed the problems and causes of pesticide residues in China. According to the RASFFs notification for excessive pesticide residues of export food in China over the past 17 years, this paper proposed some policy recommendations as follows: speeding up the perfecting of standard construction, vigorously developing organic biological pesticides, implementing comprehensive prevention and control, strengthening international exchange and cooperation, popularizing the information and knowledge about standard, etc..
