Methods: 43 nursing workers in the geriatrics department accepted the comprehensive intervention, including establishment of nursing management system, clear work contents and responsibilities, vocational training and education, hierarchical supervision and guidance, procedure of preventing and controlling of MDRO. Then the scores of the knowledge and the execution of prevention and control of MDRO infection of the nursing workers were compared. Results: After the interventions, the scores of knowledge and executive ability of prevention and control of MDRO of the nursing workers were significantly higher than those before the interventions, and the differences were statistically significant ( P0.01, P 0.05) . The infection rate of MDRO in the patients after the interventions was significantly reduced than that before the interventions, and the difference was statistically significant ( P0.05) .
