AbstractThelayoutofsheet metalpartsiswidelyappliedtoindustrymanufactureofAero-Spaceandmachinofacture,andtheresultoflayoutwillinfluenceeverynormdirectlysuchastherationalityandeconomicalefficiencyofthepartsmanufacture.Becausemostofthesheetmetalpartsareirregularandthelargeblanksareexistentintheinsideofthem,theresearchofcompatiblelayoutalgorithmistheimportanttaskinthelayoutresearch.Inthematterofthecomplexityofmathematicalcalculation,theproblemofirregularpartslayoutbelongstoanNP-completeproblemtheoreticallyinitself.Becauseofthecomplexityofparts’shapeitselfandcalculation,theresolutionofthisproblemisverydifficulty.Alongwiththedevelopmentofcomputeraidednestingtechnology,peopleareabletousetheartificialintelligencetoimplementtheregularpartslayout,butowingtotheirregularityofsheetmetalpartsmostly,thecomputeraidednestingisstillnotverysatisfied.Therefore,startingfromtheirregularityshapeofsheet metalparts,thestudyofthispaperproposealayout algorithmfittedtoirregularpartsbasedontheexperienceofancestors’researchinthisfield.Themainresearchworksare asfollows:Analyzethemathematicalmodelofsheetmetalpartslayoutandproposethepartpretreatment.Bymeansoftheconvenientcomputerdescriptionofsheetmetalparts,wecouldreducethelayoutprocesstimeonthepremiseofdescribingparts’characteristiccompletely.Thepartpretreatmentmainlyincludetheclassificationofconcavoconvexparts,thepartsrecombinantornotandconcretelyrecombinantmethods,the acquiringof minimumenveloprectangleandsoon.Comparingtheresearchoflayoutbankingregulationinthelayoutmethodofminimumenveloprectangle,analyzethedeficiencyofthemandproposetheimprovedlowesthorizontalsearchalgorithmstartingfromthepartsirregularity.Inaddition,thestudyofthispaperregardsgeneticalgorithmastheregulationoflayoutorderandintegratetheGeneticAlgorithmwithimprovedlowesthorizontalsearchalgorithmtoamixedalgorithmbycontrastingtheseveralcommonalgorithms of artificialintelligencealgorithm,whichwillsolvetheproblemoflowpartialutilizationintheenveloprectangleofirregularpart.Thesoftusedto
