AbstractWith the number of private enterprises growing in China , private economy plays an important role in promoting the economy, and the status of private enterprises is increasing. On the other hand, enterprise culture play s an extremely important role in enterprises, but there are various problems in the forming of private enterprise culture. Therefore, in this situation, this study on the formation mechanism of the private enterprise culture is an important reference and guidance to the formation of private enterprise culture.With the method of theoretical research and case study, this paper conducts an exploratory study on formation mechanism of private enterprise culture. In the aspect of theoretical study, based on the profound analysis of Schein, Allaire and Saffolds theories of enterprise culture, this paper builds a formation mechanism model of private enterprise culture. From the model, the influencing factors of private enterprise culture and the impacting mechanism of these factors are obtained. In the aspect of case study, this paper selects a private enterprise-HDC as the research object and uses the method of single-case study. And then with the guidance of the formation mechanism model of private enterprise culture to the case study, the influencing factors and the specific formation mechanism of HDCs culture are obtained.Finally, with the further analysis of the influencing factors and the specific formation mechanism of HDCs culture, which are drawed from the case study, the paper concludes the influencing factors and the specific formation mechanism of private enterprises culture. Base on the results of theoretical research and case study and the inadequacies of the private enterprises culture in China, some countermeasures and suggestions are given from the aspects of the adaptability and effectiveness of private enterprise culture. Those countermeasures and suggestions have a directive function
