Unit 10 Job-hopping and Interviews/ 跳槽与面试;面试前准备: (1) 温习剪报:许多时候，求职人申请工作一段时间后，当雇主要求面试时已经忘记了职位性质、要求，所以我们应把剪报留着以便翻查，可避免尴尬场面，给予雇主良好印象。 (2) 了解公司背景:这样可使同学在面试时，更有信心对答，更有远见，不会空泛。 (3) 衣着、仪容:要视乎工作性质，衣着要适中，不应穿着牛仔裤等休闲服；基本化妆、整齐发型是最基本的礼仪。 (4) 仿真问题:想想你有何专长、经验、技能，这对面试有所帮助。此外，睡眠要充足，面试时便不易怯场。 (5) 资料准备:同学可用黑色file装入各种面试资料，例如:学历、工作证明及其他有关资料。 ;面试时要注意的事项: (1) 切忌迟到:面试时迟到会使印象分大减，提早10至15分钟最好。 (2) 心理准备:要作最坏的打算，若雇主的态度十分冷漠，自己更应保持冷静，言谈间应有礼貌，态度要诚恳、积极。 (3) 不应做小动作:见面时不妨与雇主握手，视线不要四处张望，因为太多小动作始终不是大方的举动。 (4) 要有自信:做好充分休息和准备，答题时要肯定，带有自信， 使雇主相信你有能力胜任工作。 (5) 不要心急:在雇主未提出商议薪金时，不要急于谈论，以免给雇主利字当头的印象。 (6) 适当表现:在面试时，问一两条关于工作、晋升的问题，表示你对工作有兴趣和热诚。;10.1 Job-hopping 跳槽 SCENE Jimmy, Rachael, Grace and Stephen are talking about job-hopping. Jimmy: I personally dont really like hopping from job to job to job. I prefer to have a little bit of security. The main reason is that I don’t like filling in job application forms. I think it’s so boring. I don’t like writing about myself and the whole process of going for interviews. I’d rather stay put. Rachael: But it’s very unlikely to happen. Most of the graduates change jobs twice within the first three years of their careers. There are so many possibilities.;Grace: Yes. For myself I have moved around quite a lot. I started off when I left university, working in magazine publishing, moved to three different magazines and then decided to work in radio after that. Rachael: I think changing jobs can be a good thing because you can broaden your experience and also the likelihood is that by having tried different things you are more likely to settle on something that you want to stick with for a bit longer. Grace: I agree. I think it’s important to broaden your experience, especially when you leave university and you dont necessary know entirely what you want to do.
