AbstractRomantic category is an important component in Sino-western aesthetic category. Owing to the discrepancies existing in the Sino-western culture backgrounds, aesthetic category shows unique features in Chinese and western field. Romantic category in west has a clean-cut system, and with the confrontation of romantic thought and classic thought rising out of the Romanticism Literature Campaign in the 19th century, the romantic method has been introduced into the literature and esthetics discussions. The Chinese aesthetic category presents a feature of multiple meaning and obsceneness, and spotted in other aesthetic categories, for example the nature category, the Feng category, and the He category. The Sino-western romantic category plays a prodigious illuminating role in comparative study of poems in the late Ming Dynasty and the 19th century British romanticism poetry.Classical Chinese poetry and Western poetry comparison between comparative literature parallel studies in the category of. In recent years, comparative study of Chinese and Western poetry has made great progress, but about the late Ming Dynasty and early nineteenth Century British Romantic poetry in the period of the comparative study of less.
