AbstractInthispaper,twokindsofaluminumalloyswithdifferentconditionofheattreatmentwerefrictionstirweldedinthewayofthesameheattreatmentconditionaluminumalloysbuttwelding,buttweldingandlapweldingofaluminumalloyswithdifferentheattreatmentcondition.Theflowtrajectoryanddeformationcharacterofplasticizedmetalwereobservedfromthedistributionofthetracingmaterialontheplaneattheweldcenterline、theplaneperpendiculartothewelddirectionandthehorizontalplane.Theinfluenceofthedistanceofthethreadonpinsurface、weldingprocessparametersandmaterialpropertyontheflowbehavioroftheplasticizedmatelinweld.Theresultsshowthat,themechanicpropertysuchasthestrengthandrigidityandsoonaretheimportantfactorsaffectingthetransferoftheplasticizedmetalinweld.Therestrictionofthemetalonbothsideswillbedifferentwiththematerialpropertychanging,thentheflowtrajectoryofplasticizedmetalinweldwillbeinfluencedandthedeformationwillbedifferent.Sucking-extrudingeffectisrestrictedbythebasematerial,andthatwillbeevidenceifthestrengthandrigidityofbasematerialweldedarebothgreater,theSucking-extrudingeffectwillbereducedandtheextrudedareawillbesmaller.Astobuttweldingofdissimilaraluminumalloy,theplasticizedmetalflowsmuchmoretothesidethatthedeformation-resistanceislowerwhentheLY12(M)isplacedontheadvancingside.Theflowofplasticizedmetalisrelatedwiththegeometryofstirtoolandtheweldingprocessparameterstoo,IncreasingthedistanceofthreadisequivalenttowideningthechannelofplasticizedmetalwhichwillresultinSucking-extrudingeffectincreasing,onionringsmoreeasilyexpansionintheweldthicknessdirection,thewidthandheightoftheweldnuggetwillbeincreases.Butbecausethedeformation-resistanceofdissimilarmetalsonbothsidesofweldisdifferent,sothewidthoftheweldnuggetatretreatingsideislessthanthatatadvancingsidewhentheLY12(CZ)whichhavelagerdeformation-resistanceisplacedonretreatingsideusingthesametool.Thediameterandheightoftheweldnuggetincreasewiththeplungedepthofshoulderincreasing.Theweldprocessparameterschangeandtheshapeandsizeofextrudedareawillchange,thenthepla
