PREPARATIONANDPERFORMANCEOFFRAGRANTPOWDERSAbstractFragrantpowders,whichhaveuniquearoma,weremadeupoftheappropriateorganiccarriermaterialsandflavors.Microcapsules,porousbiomaterialsandporouspolymermicrosphereswereusedascommoncarriermaterials.Theinternalflavorswerereleasedeasilywithoutexogenicactiononporousmicrospheres,whichhasbigspecificsurfaceareaandadsorptioncapacity.Theporousmicrospheres,whichwerephysicallyandchemicallystable,couldbemodifiedwithmorefunctiongrouponthesurface.Soitiswidelyusedinchemicalindustry,dailycosmeticsandsoon.Thepaperiscomposedofthreeparts.Inthefirstpart,underthealcohol/waterratioof80/20,smallparticlesizemonodispersepolystyrenemicrospheresweresynthesizedbydispersionpolymerization.Porouspolystyrene-divinylbenzene(PSt-DVB)microsphereswereobtainedbytwo-stepswellpolymerizationwiththeabovemicrospheresasseedparticles.Theeffectsofthecontentofswellingagent,thecrosslinkingmonomersandthetypesofporogenontheporousmicrospheresparticlesize,morphologyandporestructurewereinvestigated.TheporousPSt-DVBmicrosphereswiththeuniformporestructure,thespecificsurfaceareaof158m2/gandtheporevolumeof0.5163ml/gweresynthesizedwhentheratioofthevolumeofbutylphthalate(DBP)/m(seedparticles)was3/1,thevolumeofdivinylbenzene(DVB)andtolueneusedasporogenwereboth4ml.Inthesecondpart,thefragrantpowderswerepreparedbystaticadsorptionofroseessenceontheporousmicrospheres.Theadsorptionprinciplewasprovedtobephysicaladsorptionbyinfraredspectroscopy.Theprocessparameterseffectedtheadsorptionquantity,suchastime,temperature,initialvolumefractionofroseessence,differentporousmicrospheres,werealsodiscussedindetail.Fragrantpowderswithlargeadsorptionamountwerepreparedwhentheadsorptiontemperaturewas40℃,adsorptiontimewas2handtheinitialvolumefractionofroseessencewas65%.Duringoneweeksobservationperiodatroomtemperature,fragrantpowderswereshowntohavegoodslowerreleaseperformance.Thereleaseprocesscanbedividedintotwostages.Thereleaseofthefirststagewasfittedwiththefirstorderkineticsandthesecondreleaseprocesswasf
