AbstractIn contemporary society, although social culture tends to be more and more diversafication, some groups are repelled by dominant culture, such as Gay’s wife (abbreviated as G.W),which is a derivative group of gays. It’s difficulty for G.W to adapting special identities and precipitate life changes,for being repelled and discriminated by dominant culture.G.W’s social adaption is not only the end of marital relations with gays,but also the adaption to economy, communication, psychosocial and other aspects. The paper studies G.W’s social adaption by utilizing Habermas theory of communication as theoretical basis, and then divides social adaption of G.W into individual level, social level and psychological level. Individual level correspond to the teleological action of Habermas theory. The paper gives the explaination on interaction between G.W and gays with Exchange Theory, and obtains the adaption method of individual level. Social level correspond to the normatively regulated action. The paper mainly discusses the G.W’s communication, group interaction’s influence on it and so on. Psychological level correspond to dramaturgical action. The paper mainly discusses the status quo of G.W’s psychological social adaption, the analysis of causes, the methords to well adaption and so on. Psychological level adaption is deep-going of individual level adaption and social level adaption.The paper utilizes qualitative research approach, which is virtual anthropological method and text analysis. The paper mainly uses observational method and depth interview to make questionnaire survey for 173 G.W and find 16 typical cases in BBS and QQ group.The paper finds G.W in individual level decides whether divorce by emotion，economy，children grow and self-safety. It’s also individual level adaption. Social level reflects the influence of group normative to individual action.
