Using the notations and rules (defined in the Real-Time Framework) for specifying real-timing constraints, the designer annotates the resource-usage characteristics of the decoder for different execution profile. Example: High-quality video profile: ~X MIPS; ~A Mbps Medium-quality video profile: ~Y MIPS; ~B Mbps Low-quality video profile: ~Z MIPS; ~C Mbps During the component test the data is verified and component can be published RESULT: decoder’s real-timing constraints known to the system and can be satisfied. A third-party component with properly specified resource usage profile is downloaded to the terminal. Based on the Real-Time Framework, the resource model of the terminal is built and is a property of a ‘resource manager’.
