Real Time PCR indicated that the expression both of GFAPmRNA and NCAMmRNA in hippocampus of young rats in group A was much lower,and a dramatically increased was found in group B（P＜0.01，P＜0.05）, the expression of them were depressed in groups C～E (P＜0.05,P＜0.05). But there was no statistically significant differences in group D and E（P﹥0.05）. Conclusion The modle of young rats of epilepsy induced by PTZ was a ideal model to explore Epilepsy activities . Neurons necrosis、the activity of astrocytes and synaptic reconstruction may play a important role in epilepsy . OXC could lessen the expression of NSE、GFAP and NCAM, inhibit neurons necrosis、 astrogliosis and synaptic reconstruction，may have neuroprotective effcts against brain damage caused by PTZ kinding epilepsy in young rats. The neuroprotective effcts of OXC may relate to the dose of OXC. High dose of OXC may restrain the growing of young rats.
