“三 “三言”词汇统计研究 II II Abstract As the most important masterpiece of vernacular conte in the late Ming dynasty, “Sanyan” has earned its significant achievements in literature, ideology and skill. “Sanyan” was attributed its unique characteristic of literature to the special background of the late Ming dynasty and to the literary talent of Feng Menglong. “Sanyan” was written by vernacular and was integrated the theme of marketplace. With the help of using a large number of sayings and proverbs, “Sanyan” becomes the favorite novel in the era for its language is easy to understand. Because the late Ming dynasty is the transition period of the development of Chinese, the basic vocabulary and general vocabulary is an important tool for researching the development of vocabulary. The linguistic materials of the thesis are words and phrase of “Sanyan”. I got the vocabulary frequency table of “Sanyan” from arranging and accounting the words of “Sanyan”. I want to describe the features of Chinese vocabulary in the late Ming dynasty by describing the basic vocabulary and general vocabulary of “Sanyan”. And the theses tries to find out the basic rules of the development history of Chinese vocabulary by the comparison the vocabulary frequency table of “Sanyan” with the 8000 frequent words of “Dictionary of Modern Chinese vocabulary frequency”. “Sanyan is an important part of light literature in our country and is a treasure of vernacular conte. The unique characteristic of language and its important status in studying language which are good for researching language characteristic in the late Ming dynastic and also have significant value and meaning in studying the development of Chinese vocabulary. So I hope I can do a favor in studying Chinese vocabulary by writing this thesis.
