Finally, I am indebted to my parents for their continuous support and encouragement. ii ii Abstract Throughout today‘s focus and hotspot, the environmental problems have become a major global crisis that we have to be faced under the condition of globalization. From this perspective, the author has chosen the text that is about a part of environmental problems——Paleontology in Ecology and Conservation. It is a symposium about paleontology and paleontology conservation, the author chooses two main theses in the symposium to translate. For this reason that these two theses belong to the academic text with comparatively higher quality requirement to translate. Owing to the difference between English and Chinese, the translation would bring a kind of challenge to the translator as a graduate student, especially in the translation of the attributive clause. In this thesis, the author selects “The Three Principle of Translation”as the basic translation theory, takes the differences between English and Chinese as the breakthrough point. By analyzing the difference between the two forms of sentences, the author tries to explore the possible gravity in shifting, the voice, and the word order between the two language with the use of the translation skill of preposition and postposition, transforming, and breaking the sentence and changing the position, the author aim to explore how to translate the attributive clauses, and so far has gained much effective experience.
