Spoken from the external form, poetry merges with music, and the rhythms of the poetry and the music are intrinsically linked. Both rhythms fit the natural internal rhythms of life, and both can awaken the inner rhythm of life. In the Tang Dynasty, poetry and music had reached the level of prosperity. There were a lot of famous poets such as Four Great Poets of Early Tang Dynasty, Wang Wei, Li Bai, Du Fu, Du Mu, Li Shangyin and so on in the Tang Dynasty. According to statistics the total number of the Tang Dynasty poetry written by poets reaches nearly 50 000. Music in the Tang Dynasty also made significantly achievements. It appeared the “Ten Kinds of Music”in the Tang Dynasty, which were the Yan Yue, Qing Shang Yue, Xi Liang Yue, Tian Zhu Yue, Gao Li Yue, Qiu Ci Yue, An Guo Yue, Shu Le Yue, Kang Guo Yue and Gao Chang Yue. The dministrative organization of the music in the Tang Dynasty had reached the level of the maturity, and the number of musical performers was large. The types of instruments and technological aspects of production had reached the unprecedented height. There were about 50 different kinds of musical instruments in the Tang Dynasty. The relation between different ethnic groups unprecedently developed, and the music between the Tang Dynastys Central Plain and the national minority merged together.The folk dances were prevalent.
