In this paper,we take Mencius as the object of study,using the method that could research to Special book grammar,making a systematic arrangement of Advethial Modifier in Mencius from syniactic，semantic and pragmatic perspectives. The author conducts the deep research to its characteristic from the three levels. Our goal is to explore the basic rule on the ancient Chinese. The full text is divided six chapters: The first chapter is the introduction. First of all, the author introduced Mencius book in circulation, language feature and research value.The second part discussed this structure related questions and research present situation ； The last part introduced the method in paper writing and its research significance. The second chapter mainly describes the Adverbial composition, core composition, Adverbial Modifier composition and syntactic function of the strcture from the perspective of syniaetic level combining with many examples to analysis. The third chapter examines Adverbial’s semantic orientation,the semantic orientation of core,senmantic relationship between adverbial and core as well as senmantic selection of adverbialand core. Chapter four illustrates the relationship of Adverbial word length and adverbial position. On the other hand, the transformation form about the strcture of Adverbial Modifier and Pragmatism.Using the method of combining dynamic analysis and static analysis to research. Chapter five is mainly a lasted comparison research between abial “Mencius”and“The Analects”.Then briefly analysis pre-Qin Chinese grammar phenomenon from adverbial and core constitution.
