I I “他者”如镜 ——杰克·伦敦与杨志军笔下的动物形象之比较 摘 要 动物作为“他者”进入人类审美视野，成为被书写的对象，是人类表情达意的特殊符 号。文学中的动物形象是通过人类的思维加工创造，用人类的语言文字表达、描绘出来的， 动物是无法言说自我的哑言“他者”。随着人类知识水平和实践经验尤其是认知角度的变 化，动物形象也会不断地被贴上不同的标签或赋予不同的意义。同一动物可以被塑造成天 堂的使者，成为人类礼顶膜拜的神；也可以使之跌入地狱，沦为人人唾弃的魔。对动物的 言说，是自我情感的宣泄、希望与理想的寄托，也是集体想象物的反映。通过动物“他者” 这面镜子，可以反观自身，反思现状，照出人类纷繁复杂的精神世界和千奇百态的社会人 生。 杰克·伦敦与杨志军都把镜头对准动物，在不脱离动物生物属性的范围之内对动物进 行加工创造，把个人的文化态度、情感倾向、美好夙愿等渗入其中，描述出一个既陌生又 真实的世界。在此论文中，笔者主要以杰克·伦敦和杨志军笔下的动物形象为研究对象， 借助动物“他者”这面独特之镜，从三个侧面照出两位作者的异同。首先，纵向梳理了中 西狼形象的嬗变，比较分析两位作者笔下狼形象的异同，透露出杰克·伦敦具有前瞻性的 生态忧患意识，杨志军批判人类对生态环境的破坏，热切期盼构建和谐生态之境，但他们 都难以穿过人类中心主义的坚实壁垒。其次，用尼采的超人哲学分析两位作者笔下狗的相 似的生命轨迹，以狗形象反映当时人们的生存境况和文化需求，揭露了道德失范、精神滑 坡的社会现实。最后，从左拉的遗传和环境决定论角度分析两位作者笔下的人、动物、自 然三者之间的关系，杰克·伦敦借动物的眼睛反观勾心斗角、尔虞我诈的人类社会，暴露 出野蛮、贪婪的人性；杨志军塑造忠诚可靠、有勇有谋的藏獒形象，反观人类社会逝去的 传统美德、远离的高尚情操和日益淡化的道德品质，为人性的扭曲、异化而悲叹，呼唤仁 慈、博大的人性之爱，挖掘出人性、兽性和神性三者之间的关系，说明动物形象在人类文 化中举足轻重的地位和独特的艺术魅力。 关键词 动物形象，文化“他者”，自然主义，人性 Otherness Like A Mirror ——Compare Characteristics Of Animal Novels Of Jack London With Young Zhijun Abstract For literature, animal has become the aesthetic object and the motif of literary creation，and become a writing objective, as well as, the mankind voice the special symbol of cordiality.
