II II ABSTRACT The problem of non-performing assets (NPA) has been the problem that disturbs the development of our financial business. Finance is the core of a modern economy. Whether the state-owned financing institution can digest the NPA quickly and efficiently has become the critical factor which can make Chinese economy growing sustain and rapidly. Since the 1980s, Chinas banking industry have accumulated a large amount of NPAs in the process of the rapid development. The NPAs increased the risk of the entire financial system. Therefore, the study of the disposal of non-performing assets have great realistic significance. Chongqing Yufu asset management company is a local asset management company which set up in 2004. Chongqing Yufu companies have disposed the non-performing assets of the Industrial and Commercial Bank. Yield is 22.57%, which is higher than cash recovery rate of bad assets disposal in the four financial asset management companies. Moreover, the companys disposal of non-performing assets also have achieved better social and economic efficiency, and improved the Chongqing Municipal credit and investment environment, reduced the debt of state-owned enterprises in Chongqing, and effectively utilizd the state-owned assets. This paper the analyse non-performing assets disposal models combining case, identify Yufu’s advantages and shortcomings in the disposal of non-performing assets, for the disposal of non-performing assets elsewhere to provide useful reference. First of all this paper introduced the theories of the NPA, reviewed the status quo of Chinas NPA disposal, analysed the dangers of NPA, and introduced the structure of thesis. Secondly this paper analyze the international and domestic NPA disposal model. Then analyze NPA disposal model of Chongqing Yufu asset management company. Then it makes the case analysis.
