At last, 1 would like to thank my family for their support, their thoughtfulness and encouragement for me all the time． ii ii 摘要 《魔戒》英国中古史学者，语言学是家及小说家托尔金的著作，是二十世纪西 方畅销小说之一，目前在全球已被翻译成 40 多种语言，二十一世纪初其同名电影 的辉煌成绩使托尔金的史诗奇幻小说再次引起了人们的关注，小说运用复杂多变 的结构，采用并创造了魔幻意向的情节，内容包括丰富详尽的地理，历史，宗教， 语言，国家等背景知识，多次运用隐喻的描写技巧，具有很深的文化层次。而以 往对《魔戒》研究仅限于:符号学分析，译者主体性，小说的文化解读，文学价值， 文学人物以及文学性的领域，同名电影消费观，跨文化交际的角度的研究，更多 的学者对于《魔戒》的研究都限于文化，翻译方面等等，很少涉及其中的隐喻认 知，因此，本论文将从认知隐喻角度对《魔戒》第一部中的的隐喻进行研究。 本文通过对隐喻发展历史的追溯，介绍了概念隐喻理论和概念合成理论两大现 代隐喻观；和概念隐喻理论和概念合成理论的映射方向，对《魔戒》第一部《魔 戒再现》进行分析，得出以下结论： 第一，小说中的语料全面证实了莱考夫的观点：隐喻无处不在，不仅存在于我 们的日常生活中，而且存在于小说文本的创作中。 第二，概念隐喻理论和概念合成理论在引导人们的隐喻认知，文本创作，文本 理解的过程中具有重要作用。本文将小说文本置于隐喻认知理论之下进行研究， 将文本置于隐喻机制下进行再认知和重组，从而形成新的意义，引导读者更加深 入的理解文本。 第三，通过对小说文本的分析得出，小说中的隐喻类型是多样化的，可以促进 新思想，新知识的产生，并且使读者能够更好的引导人们理解隐喻在小说文本的 认知过程中的重要作用。 第四，通过对小说文本中隐喻工作机制的探讨分析，使读者从认知视角下能够 更好的理解英语语境下隐喻的内涵和语言特点。 PAGE PAGE iii 本论文将以《魔戒再现》中出现的隐喻为语料，通过对隐喻
