A number of Chinese expect to go abroad to enjoy different scenery and seek more opportunities. Due to cultural diversity, however, enthusiasm and aspiration do not work all the time and plenty of activities cannot achieve expected effect. Thus, it is very important to get useful information. The informative special reports are a good source to understand the specific circumstances in relevant countries. Currently, the study of English-Chinese translation mainly focuses on academic works of different disciplines and literary works, paying less attention to special reports. The writer of this translation report hopes that her own translation practice could provide the research on journalistic translation with some materials so as to prompt the journalistic English-Chinese translation and help more Chinese to know about the outside world.
